Suzanne Keough

Teacher

Carefully putting my mat down, I breathed, I observed, and by the end of class I laid in my puddle of sweat. I wasn’t quite sure what had happened but I just knew I needed more! Curiosity is what brought me into that first yoga class… Loving the exhilarated feeling after class, the freedom, focus, and positive energy in my every day life (to mention a few) is what this practice brings to me! It allows me to slow down… something I’ve never felt before. After a year of practicing I knew I needed to share this experience – I wanted to deepen my practice and I wanted to teach! Packing my bags I headed to my first yoga teacher training: Baron Baptist Power Yoga Level one! Shortly after I returned I repacked those bags and headed to Montreal for Modo teacher training which proved to be one of the greatest months of my life.  Finding that sense of community – a group of warm, kind, happy people is what I love most about Modo. Modo Yoga Charlottetown is a studio that I can truly call home and am so, so , happy to be a part of!

A student first, I feel very fortunate to be able to teach, and am so grateful for what my students teach me.

Often referred to as a ” little fire cracker” “optimistic” or a “gypsy” I hope you sense freedom, strength, and humor in my class.  Off the mat – I love a day out on the paddle board, and when it’s a little too chilly for that I can be found hanging with my pooch, making a disaster in the kitchen or trying to convince my better half on a backpack journey!
